GROWER SPOTLIGHT:  Filice Farms

Filice Farms has been growing healthy, nutritious, safe food for over 5o years in Hollister and San Juan Bautista.  Today you will find year round activity on approximately 1500 acres, planting, growing and harvesting leafy greens, peppers, onions, tomatoes, spinach, celery and bing cherries.  Filice Farms is a family business dedicated to providing only the finest produce.

"Filice Farms is proud to partner with Ag Against Hunger in providing fresh produce to those who might not have otherwise had the opportunity to enjoy various fresh fruits and vegetables.  The cherries are especially fun for the gleaners because they are unique and somewhat limited in the area.  Everybody loves cherries and people begin to understand and appreciate how hard the farm workers work every day.  Those gleaning see firsthand our good safety practices at work and the young people get a look at what might become for them an exciting future in the Ag industry.  I commend Ag Against Hunger on their fine work." - Kay Filice, Owner of Filice Farms
